The grapes are processed by semi-carbonic maceration and ferment in cement tanks; a process that seeks to highlight the character of the land and variety. Delicious fruitiness that’s accompanied by light volume and a mellow finish. We recommend serving lightly chilled.
Notes on the producer
The domaine is owned and administered by Marie and Marcel Lapierre in association with Jean-Claude Chanudet. Between them they purchased the then bankrupt estate in 1995 and have since breathed new life into the vineyards and cellar. The 13 hectares of Gamay vines are located mainly in Morgon although there is a small parcel of vines in Cotes du Py. The average age of the vines is 60 years and everything is carried out according to organic principles: the grapes are handpicked and there is very little intervention in the cellar.
