An organic pioneer since the 1980s, Domaine Villet creates terroir-driven wines that shine with Jura’s unique character. Based in Arbois, this family-run estate is all about purity and precision.

Must-Try Wines:

  • Trousseau 2022: Light juicy and earthy Trousseau with a perfumed elegance. Old school style Jura that we love
  • Vin Jaune 2016Elegant, nutty and expressive Vin Jaune that will reward you for the next 100 years!

Domaine Overnoy

Founded in 1982, Domaine Overnoy has made its mark with a focus on traditional winemaking methods. Located in Orbagna, the estate is celebrated for its natural, expressive wines that reflect Jura’s unique terroir.

Must-Try Wines:

  • Crémant du Jura 2020: This a a wonderful and expressive sparkling that will give many Champagne a run for its money.
  • Savagnin Type 2018: Aged under flor a good three years before bottling, this is deep and complex in the typical Jura style.

Domaine De La Borde

Julien Mareschal, the force behind Domaine De La Borde, is a rising star in Jura. Located in Arbois-Pupillin, this biodynamic estate produces wines that perfectly balance precision and soul.

Domaine Des Marnes Blanches

Domaine Des Marnes Blanches' limestone-rich vineyards yield wines of electric energy and elegance. Their whites are particularly compelling, balancing richness with vivacity.

Must-Try Wines:

Les Dolomies

A small domaine with a cult following, Les Dolomies is celebrated for its biodynamic wines that burst with energy and character.

Must-Try Wines:

  • Premice 2022: Ouille style. Aromatic and lush with notes of zingy citrus, caramelised nuts and a pleasing butteriness.

  • La Cabane 2023: Typical Jura style Pinot Noir, bright and crunchy it displays some vegetal flavours with bramble fruit 

Philippe Chatillon

Philippe Chatillon’s wines are a perfect reflection of Jura’s ability to combine tradition with innovation. His low-intervention methods let the terroir speak for itself.

Must-Try Wines:

  • La Grande Chaude Blanc 2020:  Old vine Chardonnay that really delivers. Complex and lively nose which is rich in smoky, mineral, citrus and white flower notes

Domaine Macle

Jura legends in their own right, Domaine Macle specialises in oxidative winemaking. And arguably they are the best at at. Their Vin Jaune is hallowed juice if you can find it and their other oxidative white are nothing short of spectacular.

Must-Try Wines:

  • Chardonnay Sous Voile: Vinified and aged under flor for three years, this wine is a little more restrained that you might expect from a flor aged Chardonnay beautifully spiced and complex.

  • Tradition 2018: Simply one of the best examples of flor aged wine you will come across and will age beautifully and effortlessly for the next 30 years plus. 

Lucien Aviet et Fils

Known locally as “Bacchus,” Lucien Avietis a stalwart of Jura winemaking, with a special focus on the rare Melon à Queue Rouge Chardonnay clone.

Must-Try Wines:

Marie-Pierre Chevassu

Known for her meticulous craftsmanship, Marie-Pierre Chevassu delivers wines that balance finesse with power, reflecting Jura’s diverse terroirs.

Must-Try Wines:

  • Chardonnay Sous Voile 2022: This is a classic Sous Voile style Chardonnay from Jura. Rich and nutty it is crying out for Comte

  • Vin Jaune 2014:  Oxidative this wine is nutty with bruised apple and spice.
